The End

If you think this is the end, it’s not. It’s only the beginning. God loves you and He wants you to experience peace and life. If you’re not experiencing this right now God wants you to. God desires to have an intimate, personal relationship with you. He is the friend who sticks closer than a brother. He will never leave you or forsake you. No matter what you are going through, God is always there.

If you already know God but you’re feeling just a little dry, then go back to the well and take a drink. It’s waiting there for you. Sometimes it takes going back to the beginning and renewing your commitment to God. Even “Born Again, Spirit-Filled, Bible Believing, Good Christians” can allow sin to separate us from God. Some sins aren’t always thought of as “sins” like forgetting God, disobedience, selfishness, envy, saying or thinking hurtful words, gossiping, unforgiveness. Even speeding is a sin. We may try to cover up those sins with things like “I go to church every Sunday,” or “I’m on six committees AND the church board.” It’s not our good works that will get us into heaven. You also might say “I’m a better Christian than those hypocrites that go to church.” We are not supposed to judge others. That job is for God. We are responsible for our own relationships with Him. Stop worrying what others are doing and get your own life straight.

Some of you reading this booklet may not know where you will spend eternity. You may not even know who Jesus is or who God, our Heavenly Father is. He is the creator of the universe and He wants you to know Him personally. He wants to comfort you during the storm. He wants to be your friend. And it’s as easy as A-B-C!

First, Admit that you have sinned. “For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23). Next, Believe that Jesus died on the cross for you. Even if you were the last person on the earth He would have died for you! “Christ died for our sins.” (1 Corinthians 15:3) Then, Confess your sins. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins.” (1 John 1:9) Be willing to turn from your sins. Pray and invite Jesus Christ to come in and control your life through the Holy Spirit. God wants you to be in His family! “To all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.” (John 1:12) Know that He is with you now and forever! Tell someone about the decision you made so they may begin to pray for you.

You will need to do a few things to build and strengthen your relationship with God. First, read your Bible every day. Also, pray to Him daily. Prayer is as easy as talking to God. Get involved with a church as well. You will find support and encouragement from fellowship with other believers.

Write to us and tell us about making your commitment to God and we’ll begin to pray for you. And welcome to the family! “How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!” (1 John 3:1)
