This issue celebrates our Fifth Anniversary of the first issue of “The Well” which began April 1999. We thought it would be a great idea, in honor of this momentous anniversary, to have the readers vote on which stories they thought were the best from over the years and compile an issue of these stories. This issue contains the results. On each page we noted which issue the stories were originally from. I hope you will enjoy them as much as many others did when they were published the first time.

There were so many more “good” stories that didn’t make it in this issue.

One of my most favorite stories didn’t make it. It is called “Thank You for the Thorns” and was from the February 2000, Volume 1.11. It was about a woman who learned to be thankful for the “thorns” in her life. And she helped other people learn to be thankful too. (If you don’t have a copy of the story, write to me and ask for it. I’ll send you a copy!) This story was one of the most requested stories for copies after it was published (not including the Halloween issue of 1999 which was the most requested issue ever and has been out of print since 2000.)

This publication has grown over the years. What started out as 300 copies for the first issue grew in a short time to over 5,000! And the few copies we passed out to family and friends grew to reaching people in 30 states and several foreign countries! With God’s help it will continue to grow.
