From The Editor
Here is another great issue to read. One person said to me back in 1999 that I should put a warning label on the front of the publication saying, “Warning! Don’t read without a box of Kleenex!” because many of the stories touch our hearts. It is probable you will cry through at least one story in every issue, some issues more. Well, let me tell you, this is one of those issues that you may cry more.
You must realize that it’s not our goal to make you cry but it seems that God knows where each of us need that nudge to let us know He is there and that He will take care of our every need. That’s usually where I cry!
We all have problems in our lives. Some of these “storms” seem calmer and some are raging thunderstorms but through it all, God is with us before, during, and after each storm. He once calmed a storm with just 3 words, “Peace be still!” and He can give you that same peace again and again.
God is a great big God and He is able to calm ANY storm! But sometimes he lets us go through them to help us grow. We probably don’t like it much and sometimes we go through those storms complaining every step. As one of my favorite songs says, “Sometimes he calms the storm and sometimes He calms me.” I hope one of the stories included in this issue will give you that calm assurance that God is in control.
A pastor friend in one of his recent sermons said, “stop telling God how big our storms are, but tell our storms how big God is!”
God is the creator of the weather and allows storms in our lives. Don’t let your next storm leave devestation but let it be a cleansing rain from God’s own hand.
