Do You Believe the Bible is the Word of God?
In a recent newsletter for The Well Ministries I wrote about a church that asked us to censor any mention of the devil from our puppet show program stating that their church did not have a “devil theology.” I had the opportunity to speak to their senior pastor about the subject and another, even deeper conversation came about. He told me that their church believes the Bible is actually a bunch of stories told for us to learn lessons from and that they really did not happen. “You can’t take the Bible literally” this pastor stated. Adam and Eve are just stories. David and Goliath really didn’t happen.
I didn’t get a chance to ask him if they believe that Jesus really died on the cross.
Our whole belief and basis of Christianity is that we believe the Bible is the inerrant Word of God. “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17
What do you have to stand on if you don’t believe the Bible is the direct Word of God?
So I’m curious, do you believe the Bible is the actual Word of God or do you believe the Bible is a book of stories?

I agree totally with you … ABSOLUTELY … the Bible IS the Word of God. And … absolutely ALL that we need to find salvation and live a godly life. This is the whole basis of Christianity … how can someone call themselves a Christian and not believe in the Bible???
