Providing a Drink of Living Water to a dry and thirsty World

I must admit that I’m excited about this issue more than usual. I just love when God pulls it all together.

Usually I start with a few stories and work from there but when all the stories coming in center around the same theme, you definitely know that God is behind it. Lately we have been taking on a theme throughout the whole issue and this issue seems to center around our attitude.

I remember when I received my healing of depression 11 years ago. Though God did something miraculous in me that day, it was really a matter of perspective and attitude. I woke up one morning and said, “I’m not going to be like that anymore!” And it’s a daily ritual for me, kind of like a pepp talk. Maybe it works for some and not for others…

For some of you it’s been a little while since you received a copy of The Well, others are just getting their first copy. Those of you who fall in this category will soon know that getting one in the mail is something to look forward to. Please start praying that God will help us get more issues produced this year.

The theme of this issue has been in the thought process for several months. It still amazes me when someone sends a story about a topic that I’ve been working on and they have no idea of that topic.

The Prodigal Child story has been on my heart a lot lately with singing one of Chalice’s newest recordings, “When God Ran,” which tells the prodigal story in an enlightening way.

Everywhere we sing the song, someone comes up to us and shares who they have now or have had in the past, a prodigal child.

I think we… Read more

WOW, in the past two months my life has been a whirlwind of things. You will probably have to wait a few months to hear about it here or sign up for our email list. You can also check our website for more updates.

One of the things I’ve been saying alot lately is that if I didn’t have God in my life I don’t think I could have made it through each day. I wonder how people that don’t have that personal relationship with God can survive all the trials that life brings us. I have definitely had some… Read more

You’re probably saying right now, “I just got an issue and now I’m getting another one?” Because we got so far behind schedule over the Christmas holidays we considered doing a joint issue (January/February) but after speaking to several people who said “we’d be missing a whole month’s worth of these good stories,” we decided to publish them separately. But to get caught up you will be receiving three issues very close together.

Now for an update on the status of the ministry. After several delays in registering a name for the corporation, I am pleased to announce… Read more

Another month has come and gone and another edition of “The Well” is ready. This issue is the third edition. The first two editions have been a real success. For the first edition only 300 copies were printed. For the second edition 1000 copies were printed. The second edition was so successful that nearly all 1000 copies were distributed within one week of the first release date! Praise the Lord!

“The Well” is now reaching other states. A missionary visiting our church took 50 copies to a Missionary Convention in Kentucky. Three Rivers Gospel distributed about 200… Read more

Welcome to the first edition of The Well. Many of us have come to a dry point in our lives. But Jesus said that if we drink His living water we shouldn’t be thirsty. I have looked so many times over the last year for worldly things to make me happy. I didn’t find anything until I rediscovered Him, the One who gives joy. I pray as we draw from The Well we find scriptures and stories of encouragement that make us thirsty to seek more of Him. “Like the woman at the well I was seeking for things that… Read more
