Providing a Drink of Living Water to a dry and thirsty World

Jesus DOES Love You!

Every Sunday afternoon, after the morning service at their church, the Pastor and his 11-year old son would go out into their town and hand out gospel tracts. This particular Sunday afternoon, as it came time for the Pastor and his son to go to the streets with their tracts, it was very cold outside as well as pouring down rain.

The boy bundled up in his warmest and driest clothes and said, “OK dad, I’m ready.” His Pastor dad asked, “Ready for what?” “Dad, it’s time we gather our tracts together and go out.” Dad responded, “Son, it’s… Read more

Why Go to Church

Do you have so many problems that you cannot decide the order of their importance?

Faith has the answers;
you need only ask for them.

“Faith cometh by hearing and hearing
by the word of God.”
Romans 10:17

God has helped solve
the problems of mankind
all through the ages.
Trust Him with yours.

A Church goer wrote a letter to the editor of the newspaper and complained that it made no sense to go to church every Sunday. “I’ve gone for 30 years now,” he wrote, “and in that time I have… Read more

The Son of God is Shining

Overwhelming darkness surrounded my soul,
Clouding my mind, smothering me,
I was losing control.
But out of darkness Jesus called me
Into His wonderful light.
Now I do not fear,
When the darkness is here
I know He’s shining on me

The Son of God is shining on me
Even if I cannot see behind this great cloud
I still believe
The Son of God is shining on me
Now I do not fear
I know Jesus is here

The Lord’s Baseball Game

Richard was caught up in the spirit where he and the Lord stood by to observe a baseball game. The Lord’s team was playing Satan’s team. The Lord’s team was at bat, the score was zero to zero, and it was the bottom of the ninth inning with two outs. They continued to watch as a batter stepped up to the plate whose name was Love. Love swung at the pitch and hit a single, because Love never fails. The next batter was named Faith, who also got a single because Faith works with Love. The next batter’s name… Read more

Things Aren’t Always What They Seem

Two traveling angels stopped to spend the night in the home of a wealthy family. The family was rude and refused to let the angels stay in the mansion’s guest room. Instead the angels were given a small space in the cold basement. As they made their bed on the hard floor, the older angel saw a hole in the wall and repaired it. When the younger angel asked why, the older angel replied, “Things aren’t always what they seem.”

The next night the pair came to rest at the house of a very poor, but very hospitable… Read more

How to Count It All Joy, Part 3

A Continuing Series by Pastor David Vento
Shiloh Full Gospel Church, Adamsburg, PA

Let us look at another account of “counting it all joy” in the Word. In 1 Samuel chapter 30 we find King David facing a severe trial. His swift action of “count it all joy” caused him not only to be preserved, perfected, complete and lacking nothing, but David also was one who prospered from it. In verse 1 we find David and his army returning home to Ziklag from an exhausting campaign of battles. Tired and fatigued they were looking forward to seeing their… Read more

Our New Trailer

Last month we mentioned in “The Well” how we needed a trailer to haul the puppet and singing equipment to and from programs. We had received several quotes on purchasing one that were about $2,000.00.

Recently, Lou has been spending some time on-line at a place called “eBay,” which is an auction site. There he found a few trailers that were for sale. One of the trailers didn’t seem to have too high of a bid so Lou placed a bid on it. Later that same night the auction ended and we found out that our bid was the highest;… Read more
