I just want to start by saying thank you all for your prayers, supportive phone calls and letters over the past few months while we were in hibernation this summer. It seemed as if our well had run a little dry but now we are back in production again.

Many things happened over the summer – see page 6-7 to find out more. One thing we did a lot this summer was our puppet ministry. My husband, Lou, had resigned from singing with the Three Rivers Gospel Quartet July 4th because it was a little too much for him and then I booked every single weekend this summer with puppets instead. Poor Lou, he was even more tired this summer.

One important thing that just happened is that we have received notification from the Internal Revenue Service that our 501(c)(3) status has been APPROVED! This makes our ministry an official non-profit, tax deductible, charity of which all donations received are now tax deductible. This is a major blessing for our ministry as we can now apply for grants, seek donations and fundings from businesses, organizations and churches and have fundraisers. If you are interested in helping raise funds to support this ministry, please call. One of the biggest ways you can all help with not too much effort is to contact your churches and ask that they support this ministry with a monthly donation. Ask if we can even be added to their missions budget. This way we can be assured to receive a budgeted amount each month to guarantee production of this publication and at the present size and distribution, we need $2,500.00 each month just to make ends meet.

Enclosed in this issue is a 2001 Pledge Card. Won’t you prayerfully consider partnering with this ministry and pledging an amount to send each month? Remember your donations are tax deductible. Please return your pledge cards before Christmas so we can make our budget for next year.

One last note: The Well Ministries has a new home on the World Wide Web. If you have internet access, check out our new website: www.thewellministries.org.

Until next month,
Blessings!
