Jim Smith went to church one Sunday morning. He heard the organist miss a note during the prelude and he winced. He saw a teenager talking when everyone was supposed to be bowed in silent prayer. He felt the usher was watching to see what he put into the offering plate and it made him boil. He caught the preacher making a slip of the tongue five times in the sermon – actual count. I arrived at the address where someone had requested a taxi. I honked but no one came out. So I honked again, nothing. Then I walked to the door and knocked.

“Just a minute,” answered a frail, elderly voice. I could hear something being dragged across the floor.
