Kris Rhoades, Editor

Kris is one of the founders of The Well Ministries and Editor of The Well Publication. She has a great testimony centered around the creation of the publication and her healing of depression. Married to Lou for 27 years they have 3 children and 2 grandchildren (plus another one is expected to arrive in a few months). Their oldest son is a pastor and planted a church in Oakland, Pittsburgh. Their youngest daughter plays keyboard for her youth ministry band.

You’re probably saying right now, “I just got an issue and now I’m getting another one?” Because we got so far behind schedule over the Christmas holidays we considered doing a joint issue (January/February) but after speaking to several people who said “we’d be missing a whole month’s worth of these good stories,” we decided to publish them separately. This is the eighth issue of “The Well” publication. I am pleased to tell you of how much it has grown in just a few short months. What started in April 1999 with only 300 copies has now grown in only eight months to 3500 copies monthly! All of those copies have been given free or for a donation.

With November comes the Thanksgiving holiday. It seems that this is the time of the year we become more aware to thank God for all the blessings He has bestowed upon our families. But we should not wait until this particular day to tell Him that. Thanksgiving is an attitude that we should have all year long. The definition from Webster’s is: a prayer expressing gratitude; a public acknowledgment or celebration of divine goodness. In the Bible many times thanksgiving is associated with sacrifice. Another month has come and gone and another edition of “The Well” is ready. This issue is the third edition. The first two editions have been a real success. For the first edition only 300 copies were printed. For the second edition 1000 copies were printed. The second edition was so successful that nearly all 1000 copies were distributed within one week of the first release date! Praise the Lord!

“The Well” is now reaching other states. A missionary visiting our church took 50 copies to a Missionary Convention in Kentucky. Three Rivers Gospel distributed about 200 copies at concerts … Read more
