I must admit that I’m excited about this issue more than usual. I just love when God pulls it all together.

Usually I start with a few stories and work from there but when all the stories coming in center around the same theme, you definitely know that God is behind it. Lately we have been taking on a theme throughout the whole issue and this issue seems to center around our attitude.

I remember when I received my healing of depression 11 years ago. Though God did something miraculous in me that day, it was really a matter of perspective and attitude. I woke up one morning and said, “I’m not going to be like that anymore!” And it’s a daily ritual for me, kind of like a pepp talk. Maybe it works for some and not for others…

The theme of this issue has been in the thought process for several months. It still amazes me when someone sends a story about a topic that I’ve been working on and they have no idea of that topic.

The Prodigal Child story has been on my heart a lot lately with singing one of Chalice’s newest recordings, “When God Ran,” which tells the prodigal story in an enlightening way.

Everywhere we sing the song, someone comes up to us and shares who they have now or have had in the past, a prodigal child.

In a recent newsletter for The Well Ministries I wrote about a church that asked us to censor any mention of the devil from our puppet show program stating that their church did not have a “devil theology.” I had the opportunity to speak to their senior pastor about the subject and another, even deeper conversation came about. It’s been a long time in coming but here is another great issue of The Well.

Thanks to the Lord providing a new high speed copier, we are able to begin producing “The Well” once again. We hope it will become the monthly publication it was meant to be.

Well, it’s finally happened. The Lord finally gave us the confirmation that we’re to start working full-time at the ministry and give up our full-time secular jobs. So we’ve started closing the printing business on Mondays and the rest of the week having hours by appointment. We’re not closing the printing business totally but absorbing it into the ministry to allow us to print The Well. We’ll also use finances generated from some of the printing to help the ministry’s expenses. You may be wondering what has happened to “The Well” as there hasn’t been an issue for awhile. You may be wondering if you are still on our mailing list because you haven’t received one for many months.

Let me start by saying that “The Well” was intended to be a monthly publication but financial roadblocks have prohibited that. Printing and distributing this publication does cost money and we just don’t have the resources yet to produce it monthly.

The Well has returned!!

The Well has been running a little dry lately; but we are now trying to regroup and reorganize the ministry and get the production of this publication back on track. Last month we mentioned in “The Well” how we needed a trailer to haul the puppet and singing equipment to and from programs. We had received several quotes on purchasing one that were about $2,000.00.

Recently, Lou has been spending some time on-line at a place called “eBay,” which is an auction site. There he found a few trailers that were for sale. You can now call (412) 664-9355 (which the 9355 actually spells W-E-L-L on the keypad.) Prayers United for the Abused

MINISTRY SPOTLIGHT:

As its third anniversary approaches, the work of the Prayers United for the Abused ministry remains the same – to pray and have others join in prayer by becoming Prayer Partners. What started as a tiny whispered prayer has grown to a swell of thousands. There are Prayer Partners in at least thirty states as well as overseas. The ministry has spread to prisons such as Statesville Correctional Center and Dwight Women’s Correctional Center, both in Illinois. Women’s shelters, including Lambsfold in Joliet and Womansplace in McKeesport, are now part of this growing partnership.
